Christmas 2015 : Best Gifting Ideas

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to conclude a year than with Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Since this particular festive holiday is all about the joy of giving we obviously had to do our own Christmas shopping and thought of sharing our favourite gifting ideas with you. Some of us are masters of procrastination or super selective while narrowing down to the gifts. This list may help or ease up the task a bit (we sure hope) and ensure that luxury isn’t always about the most expensive item on the shelf, but about its uniqueness.

Stock for the Stockings :

Dipytique Liquidambar Scented Candle – We found this at Selfridges and has a lovely autumn scent spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon. An added scent of muscovado sugar  renders a sweet and warm aroma to the scent.

Molton Brown Oudh Accord and Gold candle – This luxurious single wick candle is spiced with nutmeg and cinnamon as well while the accents of elemi oil, myrrh oil and black tea add to the base of oudh, honey, tobacco and vetiver. One of a kind and exclusive to your collection of scented candles.

Bose Soundsport – These chic in-ear headphones are made for the sports and fitness aficionados as they are sweat resistant and stay aligned even during a high energy workout or sports regime. The remote lets you operate the music volume, track change and phone calls. Add them to your family or friend’s stockings for an edge over the usual gadget.

Fortnums Ruby Red Infusion – The ruby red tea is a Christmas special from Fortnum and Mason. The tea is infused in the aromatic spices – cloves, cinnamon and rose hip to give it a deep rouge colour and the sweeping scent of the spices.

On The Table: Our reigning favourite at the moment (ever since we reviewed Kit Kemp’s Number Sixteen in South Kensington) is the Mythical Creature tea set and tableware collection at Wedgewood. Vera Wang too has her collection as do many other artisanal craftsman who find their labour of love in Wedgewood’s Christmas Collection.

Gift Hampers:  Trust Fortnum and Mason for all your gift hamper needs and wishes. We certainly do! Some of the most covetted hampers are hand picked and crafted by this institute of gifting. If you are a wine lover there are some one-of-a-kind hampers for new world wine lovers and old world wine lovers as well as the whisky lovers. We were lost for words and spoilt for choice to choose our favourite of them all.
