HIX Soho & Mayfair

HIX restaurants at Soho and Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair are the choice to dine on a Christmas Eve and Day with your best friends and family in tow. The Soho restaurant has a bar tucked under the stairs as the original Mark’s Bar. If you are planning for a more intimate Christmas dinner the private dining room hosts up to 10 people and can be hired exclusively. Both the restaurants are known for their classic British recipes and eclectic style of menu crafting with locally sourced ingredients. Roast Bowgreave Farm suckling pig with Bramley apple sauce, Cumbrian air-dried ham with pickled celery, Nyetimber and cucumber jellied oysters, Stichelton with Tonnix port jelly and fruit cake, Peruvian Gold chocolate mousse canape, Apple and bramble pie with vanilla ice cream are just some of the recipes on the festive feasting menu.

Quaglino’s, Mayfair

On Bury Street in Mayfair Quaglino’s assure a memorable Christmas this year. From having a transformative decor to festive cocktails the team is going full steam ahead to facilitate your celebrations. On the menu are recipes such as Ballotine of salmon, Tagliatelle, Cime di Rapa, Spiced honey glazed roasted roots, goose fat roasted potatoes, Roast bronze turkey and Christmas pudding, “Woodford reserve” bourbon custard. Bar Boulud, Knightsbridge

Knightsbridge knows how to turn up the festivities for Christmas. Bar Boulud at Mandarin Oriental has all the trappings of a celebrated chef restaurant to heighten the Christmas spirit. The 3 course prix-fixe Christmas Day menu includes house-smoked salmon dry cranberry, home-made ricotta cavatelli mushrooms, turkey breast, milk chocolate bahibe cremeux pistachio dacquoise. Boisdale, Belgravia

Scottish restaurant and bar with live music in Belgravia has been a popular watering hole as well as dining space. The Auld is the oldest section of Boisdale of Belgravia. Away from the bar bustle and music at The MacDonald Bar, the dining room offers a much quieter atmosphere with old wood furniture and furnishings that remind you of its Scottish heritage. You can host private parties with 15 guests on a table. The 3 course prix-fixe Christmas menu has three options to choose from if you are keen on a private dinner or lunch. Kaspar’s Seafood Grill and Bar, Covent Garden

The Savoy on Strand is celebrating Christmas Eve at Kaspar’s with an all day dining a la carte menu and festive pre-theatre menu with traditional offerings like mulled wine and good ‘ol Christmas pudding. On Christmas Day you can lunch with a 4 course prix-fixe menu with seating times from 12 pm up to 15.45. The menu includes smoked scottish salmon, crab meat lasagna, Christmas pudding and praline chocolate yule log. Reservations will be required without a doubt and there will be a non refundable deposit while booking, There is a special dinner for the Christmas Day as well if you wish to conclude the festivity by dining out. Pied à Terre, Fitzrovia

The West End, Michelin Star restaurant in the heart of Fitzrovia is now a quarter-of-a-century old and retaining its Michelin honours since 1993. On Christmas Day the lunch is a prix-fixe menu including  Chestnut Veloute, Wild Mushrooms, Onion, Truffle, Cornish Cod, Chocolate Tart, Mandarin, Macadamia, Salted Milk Ice Cream and an option of a Wine Flight for GBP 40. You need to request for this menu as it will not be offered by default during the festive period. Alternatively if you are planning a close group lunch you could choose their private dining room. Winter Garden at The Landmark, Marylebone

The Winter Garden restaurant at the iconic Landmark Hotel hosts four-course Christmas Eve dinner with a glass of Champagne, half a bottle of wine, coffee and petit fours.
